Overview
The Certificate III in Financial Services is a gateway to the financial services industry, and is for people typically employed as entry-level employees performing routine duties such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cashier, bookkeeping, purchases and sales and basic preparation of accounting reports. This course delivers foundation knowledge and skills required to enter employment in broking, distribution, banking, credit management and retail financial services.
Designed for
Those who need to perform routine accounting duties such as accounts payable / receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, purchases and sales and preparation of financial reports including, inventory clerks, payroll clerks, accounts clerks, bookkeepers, accounting operatives, accounts receivable clerks, and accounts payable clerks and cashiers.
Course Outcomes
This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skill to:
· Apply principles of professional practice to work in the financial services industry
· Process customer accounts
· Maintain financial records
· Administer financial accounts
· Apply basic accounting principles
· Provide general advice on financial products and services
Course Structure
A total of 13 units of competency must be completed.

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.
