Certificate III in Retail Supervision

Overview

This qualification has been designed to develop the skills and knowledge of those employees who wish to enter into a supervisory role.  Those entering into a supervisory role would be responsible for coordinating / supervising other staff members.  This course provides participants with the more advanced skills required such as how to operate retail information technology systems, how to produce financial reports and how to maintain and order stock.  Participants also learn leadership skills enabling them to coordinate work teams and implement staff training.

Designed for

Staff with some retail experience who would like to develop their skills including, retail assistants, supervisors and team leaders.

Course Outcomes

This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skill to:

·         Develop effective stock control and inventory management systems

·         Create a more effective customer focused environment

·         Effectively manage and lead teams

·         Improve their prioritisation and planning skills

·         Build and maintain effective employee relations

Course Structure

      A total of 9 units of competency must be completed.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a Certificate III in Retail Supervision.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
