Certificate III in Retail Operations

Overview

This qualification has been designed to develop the skills and knowledge of those employees wishing to enter a more specialised role in the retail sector.  The course provides participants with the advanced skills such as how to operate retail information technology, how to produce financial reports and how to maintain and order stock.  It has also been designed to develop the skills and knowledge of those employees wishing to enter a more specialised role, such as advanced selling and / or merchandising.

Designed for

Staff with some retail experience who would like to develop their skills including, retail operations staff, retail sales assistants, supervisors and team leaders.

Course Outcomes

This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skill to:

·         Build relationships with customers

·         Produce financial reports and maintain stock orders

·         Learn effective team and leadership skills

·         Present and maintain merchandising displays

·         Build and maintain effective employee relations

Course Structure

      A total of 9 units of competency must be completed.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a Certificate III in Retail Operations.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
