Certificate III in Business

Overview

This course is designed for participants to gain practical skills necessary to work in an office environment. It will provide them with the skills and flexibility to be successful in a wide variety of business administration jobs. At this level staff are expected to solve problems, show judgment and discretion and take responsibility for their role under limited supervision and limited responsibility for other employees.

Designed for

Those who already have basic administrative and computing skills and wish to improve these skills. It is recommended for those who have completed some business studies or have some working experience.

Course Outcomes

This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skill to:

·         Organise and complete their own work schedule

·         Maintain business resources

·         Exercise initiative in a business environment

·         Design and produce text documents

·         Identify customers needs

·         Deliver a service to customers

·         Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services

·         Prepare and produce electronic presentations and

·         Model high standards of business practice

Course Structure

      A total of 12 units of competency must be completed.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will to receive a Certificate III in Business.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
