Certificate IV in Transport and Distribution
(Warehousing & Storage)
Overview
This qualification provides competencies for supervisory and middle management positions in the warehousing industry, including stocktaking, import and export documentation, quality control, managing emergencies, occupational health and safety, communication and team building, calculations, resource management, business planning and contract and procurement. Participants will perform a broad range of skilled applications including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices and provision of some leadership and guidance to others in the application and planning of the skills.
Designed for
Supervisors and middle management in the logistics industry including, Bulk storage distribution manager, supply and distribution manager, warehouse/logistics manager, shift / charge foreman and freight administration supervisor.
Course Outcomes
This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skill to:
· Collect, analyse and present data and statistical information
· Gain the skills to effectively manage internal resources
· Market products and services to customers
· Implement and monitor the organisations OHS policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area to meet legislative requirements
· Monitor and evaluate supplier performance
· Display leadership in the workplace
· Promote the use and implementation of innovative work practices to effect change
Course Structure
A total of 28 units of competency must be completed.

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a Certificate IV in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage).
